Experts predict a big year for the IoT, yet many people don’t even realize they are already living in smart homes. We at Bitdefender think raising awareness about Internet of Things security is essential.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with the animation geniuses from Kurzgesagt. Together, we bring you a short and colorful video about the smart home and about what you should do to keep all your internet-connected devices protected.

It’s a simple message: if you have connected devices around your household, you live in a smart home. And that home is getting smarter with every new shinny gadget or appliance you’re buying. And because things that connect to the internet can also be hacked — some being more vulnerable than others — there are a few things you should do to keep danger at bay.

The CES event in Las Vegas is the world's largest Consumer Electronics show. With a large booth designed as a Smart Home, Bitdefender showcased the new Bitdefender BOX to visitors eager to learn how to secure IoT devices. The wealth of information delivered, combined with the professionalism and smiles of the Bitdefender staff, even got us a spot on the Wired magazine executive CES show tour!
