Bitdefender Box - a little device that safeguards your entire home network from Mirai attacks

The Mirai malware is seen as a milestone in the threat landscape, showing that IoT botnets can be used in distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks and can deal significant blows. It entered the spotlight in autumn last year, and its damage is likely to be felt for some time to come.

Incremental Releases introduced in Consumer Classic Line

In April we introduced Incremental Releases in Bitdefender consumer products. This will allow us to be more agile, accelerating the introduction of new features and simplifying the update, upgrade and installation processes.

Our users will enjoy streamlined updates, added value and shorter learning curves, which will encourage customer loyalty.

Our first Incremental Release (25th of April) included:

• New Bitdefender Central app for iOS and Android;

• Improvements on Windows: reduced download size, installation process being faster and easier; File Shredder & Password Manager are now easier to use;

• Improvements on Android: fingerprint support, timeout and smart unlock for the App Lock feature in Bitdefender Mobile Security.

Bitdefender Beta 2018

The month of May comes with great news for Bitdefender users worldwide! We will start pre-registration for Bitdefender Beta 2018 and hold a contest for our users: beta testers can win exciting new prizes if they send us critical and hidden bugs that they find in the product. More information on how to pre-register is available here.

We also encourage you as our partners to inform your customers about this beta release, to test the product yourself and give us your feedback.

The Partner Advantage Network program, of which you are an important asset, has just won again the prestigious 5-Star rating in the 2017 Partner Program Guide of CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company.

The annual guide, which recognizes the channel’s top partner programs, is the definitive listing of partner programs from technology vendors that provide products and services through the IT channel.

To determine the ratings, The Channel Company’s research team assessed each vendor’s application based on investments in program offerings, partner profitability, partner training, education and support, marketing programs and resources, sales support and communication.
